Production

The Northeast Mining Camp covers the major Chontalpan-Cuchara vein system as well as a number of secondary veins. It is currently in early stage reconnaissance; therefore, there is currently no production in this mining camp.

Exploration

The Cuchara area was initially drilled in 2007. Additional mapping and sampling was carried out in 2008, which defined potential drill targets in addition to the previous drilling of the high-grade Oscar Vein and Condesa Vein. The Cuchara and Chontalpan Mines were two of the largest silver producing mines in the Zacualpan District and the area is considered to hold high potential for additional discoveries.

Cuchara Mine
The Cuchara Mine is located 3 km east of the Guadalupe processing plant. The main vein has been mined intermittently for hundreds of years and was last in production in 2004. Mapping and prospecting has identified a cluster of at least 10 other veins with old workings in this area. Data compilation and surface work is continuing in preparation for further drilling of the Cuchara Vein extension and other nearby veins.

Oscar Vein Corridor
One of the veins in the Cuchara area is the Oscar Vein. One hole in the Oscar Vein included:

Presently, very little is known about this Northeast target. More drilling is planned for this new discovery in the near future.

San Antonio Prospect

The San Antonio Prospect is located in the southeastern portion of the Zacualpan District. This is a historical mine marked by a double vein system. One vein is exposed in a glory hole measuring 45 m by 3 m by 30 m deep, which was mined to the water table (no written records are known of who carried out this mining or when this mining was done).

Chip samples taken by the IMPACT geologists on surface at the edge of the glory hole assayed 164 g/t silver, 3.23 g/t gold, 2.65% lead and 0.93% zinc across 3.15 m true width. A chip sample taken in an old pit north of the glory hole on the second parallel vein assayed 1,055 g/t silver across 1.3 m true width. The distance between the veins is 11 m. The drill target at San Antonio is the down-dip extension of the double vein system below the water table where the old time miners do not appear to have mined the veins. Initial drilling in the zone returned the following assays:

Further surface work identified additional veins in the area; continued exploration is planned.

Development Outlook

As part of the 20,000 exploration program and exploration teams on the ground, additional mine targets will be logged into the GIS database for further study.
